Madison Quan ’22 Earns 1,000th Point in Sagehens Women’s Basketball

Claremont, Calif. (November 30, 2022)—Madison Quan ’22 netted her 1,000th career point as the Sagehens fell to SCIAC rival CMS 70-64 on Wednesday night at Voelkel Gymnasium at the Center for Athletics, Recreation, and Wellness.

A recent ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ alum and a current Claremont Graduate University student, Quan is playing this season on the Pomona-ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ women’s basketball team after missing one year to Covid as an undergraduate.

With the loss against CMS, the Sagehens fall to 2-5 on the year and open SCIAC play 0-1. Quan led the Sagehens with 25 points, five assists, and five steals en route to becoming the thirteenth player in program history to hit 1,000 career points. Kaitlyn Leung PO’23 was the only other Sagehen in double digits with 12 points and led the team with seven rebounds. Emily Church PO’23 and Emily Lee ’26 each had seven points and six rebounds as well in the loss.
