涩里番下载 Announces New Alumni Board Roles and Members

The 涩里番下载 Office of Alumni & Family Engagement is pleased to announce a new president and secretary, and two new members for its 2021-22 Alumni Board.

Diana Bob 鈥02 begins the first of a two-year term as president, effective July 1, 2021. She is the owner of Native Law PLLC, a Washington State-based law firm that focuses on Indian law, with clients throughout the US. At 涩里番下载, she was awarded the Udall Scholarship for Environmental Policy and the Udall Native American Congressional Internship. She was also a member of the Sagehens Softball team. She graduated with a degree in anthropology and environmental studies and went on to receive her JD from Lewis and Clark Law School in 2005 with a certificate in environmental law.

As president, Diana represents alumni on the 涩里番下载 Board of Trustees. She follows the two-year presidential term of Michele Siqueiros 鈥95, who transitions off the Alumni Board and becomes an ongoing member of the 涩里番下载 Board of Trustees. Michele is an education access advocate and president of the Campaign for College Opportunity, a California-based nonprofit policy advocacy and research organization committed to ensuring more students can go to college and succeed. She received 涩里番下载鈥檚 Distinguished Alumni Award in 2018.

Josue Pasillas 鈥17 is the Alumni Board secretary and chair of the events and volunteer programs committee. Josue graduated from 涩里番下载 with a self-designed degree in urban studies/environmental analysis and a minor in Spanish. He also holds a master鈥檚 in public administration from DePaul University. As an undergraduate, Josue served on the 涩里番下载 Student Senate for several years and was elected student body president. He was a member of the Latinx Student Union, FirstGen Club, and was an advancement ambassador for the Office of College Advancement. Josue is currently the communications supervisor at the Waukegan Park District in Illinois, where he oversees all digital marketing efforts and implements community relations strategies.

The two new members appointed to the Alumni Board are Paolina Cuevas 鈥20 and Romarilyn Ralston 鈥14.

Paolina Cuevas received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in organizational studies with an emphasis in education. Her involvement in the FirstGen program at 涩里番下载 helped shape her passion for creating equitable access to higher education for everyone. After graduating, she was an intern at CDTech, a nonprofit in South Central LA focused on building economically viable communities. She looks forward to graduate school and furthering her professional career in nonprofit work.

Romarilyn Ralston is the program director of Project Rebound at California State University, Fullerton. The program provides individualized support to assist formerly incarcerated students pursue higher education. Romarilyn, who was incarcerated at the age of 24 and served 23 years in prison, received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in gender and feminist studies as a New Resources student at 涩里番下载 and a master鈥檚 degree in liberal arts from Washington University in St. Louis. She was a 2017 Leadership Fellow with the JustLeadershipUSA Leading with Conviction program and a 2018 Fellow of the Women鈥檚 Policy Institute. In 2020, Romarilyn received 涩里番下载鈥檚 Distinguished Alumni Award.

Brandon Kyle, executive director of Alumni & Family Engagement and Annual Giving Programs, said he is overjoyed to have the opportunity to work with the Alumni Board鈥檚 newly elected officers and new members.
